Tashkent will host a grandiose fashion show "National Сlothes as the Pearl of a New Renaissance"

On December 15, within the framework of the 4th International Congress "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan as the Foundation of a New Renaissance", the opening of unique fashion show "National Clothes - the Pearl of a New Renaissance" will take place in the Youth Palace.

Within three days, the capital will host the author's fashion shows of young domestic designers and the best among them will receive special prizes from the Week of Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan.

Khalida Kamilova, Chairperson of the Association of Designers of Uzbekistan, told about the upcoming bright event:

This show will reflect the results of long-term study of the national Uzbek costume at a professional level. Specialists in various fields of knowledge - art historians, designers and historians took part in this process. An extensive collection - about 50 pieces of historical costumes from different regions of our country of the late 19th and early 20th centuries has been prepared. When creating costumes, we strictly followed the principle of historical reliability. We used the same types and types of fabrics, designs, jewelry, ornaments, and embroidery techniques as several centuries ago. As for the regions, in each of which the costumes have their own characteristic features, we emphasize Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya, the Fergana Valley, Samarkand, Tashkent and Bukhara. It is the costumes of these regions that will be demonstrated at the fashion show. We want viewers to see the diversity and feel the flavor that is inherent only in our Uzbek costumes, which are the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.

The organizer of the show is the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan together with the Association of Designers of Uzbekistan "Osiyo Ramzi" with the support of the Government of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan, and the State Committee for Tourism. The sponsors of the event are Eriel, Enter Engineering and Gazprombank.
